Whether you are a brand new ham, have been licensed for many years, or are just interested in becoming an amateur radio operator, we invite you to join us at our next monthly meeting which will be February 17 at the Owensboro Community & Technical College classroom building at 1501 Frederica Street, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301.
Our meetings start at 6:30 p.m. in classroom 18A with a short business meeting followed by a program at 7:00 p.m. related to an aspect of amateur radio. Our February 17 program will be on fox hunting which is a fun exercise to locate a hidden radio transmitter. We will have a demonstration on how to build an antenna to use with any low cost hand-held VHF/UHF transceiver specifically to help you search for and find a hidden transmitter (the fox), and one lucky attendee will take home the antenna as a door prize.
