The Owensboro Amateur Radio Club will hold its first meeting of 2026 on Tuesday, January 20 with President Jim Mason, WI4W accepting the gavel from 2025 President Tom Johnson, KO4PVE. President Tom has led our club for the past three years, and we owe him a debt of gratitude for his leadership and dedication to amateur radio in the Owensboro-Daviess County area.
The OARC Executive Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. on the 20th in Room 18B of the Owensboro Community & Technical College classroom building located at 1501 Frederica Street in Owensboro, and that meeting will be followed at 7:00 p.m. in the same room with the regular membership meeting. The program scheduled for the membership meeting will be a repeater forum presented by the owner/operators of the local repeaters, digipeaters, nodes, and internet gateways in Daviess County to discuss the various equipment’s status, abilities, and accessibility by licensed amateur radio operators.
All ham radio operators as well as anyone licensed or unlicensed who are interested in amateur radio are invited to attend the meeting and meet other hams and learn more about the hobby. Please park in the lot behind the classroom building and enter the double doors at the rear of the building. The classroom is located down the hallway on the right.
